2011 Audi Cup

The second edition of the Audi Cup was a two-day association football tournament that featured four teams. It was played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The competition hosted the defending champions Bayern Munich, the 2010 Copa Libertadores champions Internacional, the 2010–11 UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona and the 2007 FIFA Club World Cup champions Milan. The winners of the tournament were Barcelona, beating Bayern Munich 2–0 in the final. Internacional defeated Milan in the third place match after a penalty shoot-out.

                                               

2013 Audi Cup

The 2013 Audi Cup was the third edition of the Audi Cup, a two-day association football tournament that featured four teams, and was played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The competition hosted the 2009 Audi Cup winners Bayern Munich, the 2012 Copa Sudamericana champions São Paulo, the 2011–12 Premier League champions Manchester City and perennial Serie A contenders Milan. The English and Brazilian clubs made their first appearances in the competition, while Bayern, as hosts, and Milan have been present in every Audi Cup so far. The winners of the tournament were Bayern Munich, who beat Manchester City 2–1 in the final. Milan defeated São Paulo 1–0 in the third place play-off. Prior to the semi-final match between Bayern Munich and São Paulo, as the Bayern goalkeepers were warming up, advertising billboards located around the field were showing fan messages published via their Twitter profiles using the hashtag #HelloAudiCup. One of the displayed messages stated, Ei, Douglas, vai tomar no cu ". It was sent by DarkFabuloso, a fake profile that satirizes São Paulo player Luis Fabiano, and was inadvertently approved by the staff responsible for selecting and displaying the messages.

                                               

2009 Audi Cup

The first edition of the Audi Cup was a two-day association football tournament that featured four teams, and was staged in late July 2009 at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The competition was organised and promoted by car manufacturer Audi AG to celebrate their 100th year of trading, and hosted by 2007–08 Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich defeated Manchester United in the final in a penalty shoot-out after a goalless draw. Boca Juniors defeated Milan in the third place match.

The 2017 Audi Cup was the fifth edition of the Audi Cup, a two-day association football tournament that featured four teams and be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. The competition featured the hosts and 2015 winners Bayern Munich, Spanish side Atletico Madrid, English side Liverpool, and Italian side Napoli. The competition was won by Atletico Madrid, who defeated Liverpool in the final 5–4 on penalties after a 1–1 draw.

2016 Cup of China

The 2016 Audi Cup of China was the fifth event of six in the 2016–17 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Capital Gymnasium in Beijing on November 18–20. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of mens singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2016–17 Grand Prix Final.

It is held on odd years since 2009, opposite the FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro, before the start of the Bundesliga season as well.

                                     

1. History

The first Audi Cup in 2009 was organised and promoted by car manufacturer Audi AG to celebrate their 100th year of trading and was won by hosts Bayern Munich. It was held in place of the Franz-Beckenbauer-Cup, which took place in 2007, 2008 and 2010. The second edition of the Audi Cup took place in 2011 and was won by Spains Barcelona. Bayern Munich won their second Audi Cup in 2013 with a 2–1 win over Manchester City and their third Audi Cup in 2015, with a 1–0 win over Real Madrid.

                                     

2. Performance by team

The Audi Cup is hosted by Bayern Munich, who have participated in the competition all six times, and excluding them, Milan has participated in the most Audi Cup tournaments, with four. Barcelona were invited in 2011 and won the cup in their only participation, as did Atletico Madrid in their sole outing in 2017.
